'Meme' was the most epic of grandmothers. From the day our kids, Jack & Grace, were born to the last day she was with us, Meme doted on her grands. She loved taking them to hockey games and to movies. She picked them up from school and stayed with them on weekends when Mom and Dad were away. Meme took them on shopping trips to Target. She loved baking them their favorite treats – brownies and cookies for Jack and chocolate cake for Grace. She hugged them and would laugh with them. She snuggled in their bed at night when they slept over and read to them. She attended ballet recitals and Grandparents Day at school. Shortly before Meme passed, she gifted Jack and Grace with an adorable puppy named Dory who they love dearly. We are all grieving and contemplating how we’ll go on without Mary, but the kids especially are feeling the loss of their dearest Meme. Thank you, Meme, for being a wonderful, loving and generous grandmother to Jack, Grace, Sam, Otis, Story and Cylar. You are forever in their hearts. Watch over them now from above.
